Alfie's background seems too odd to be true. Having trained to be a priest he gave up the religious life to become a toy demonstrator at Harrods. Since 1998 he has been a professional comic and he is now a familiar face on the stand up scene.
Alfie uses his unique background to add to the rich tapestry of his act. Alfie plays all the major comedy clubs including The Comedy Store (both London and Manchester), Lee Hurst's Backyard, The Buzz, Avalon, Up the Creek, Bound & Gagged, Hampstead Clinic, Off the Kerb, CKP (Christian Knowles), The Comedy Clubs and Screaming Blue Murder.

"The strongest point of the show is the deranged performance of Alfie Joey... in a real tour de force, he is both energetic and hilarious." Independent
